In honor of father's day, revisiting an essay I wrote four years ago in The Paris Review
Like all of your essays here I'll be re-reading it a few times more to really absorb it. I grew up with a bipolar father. I loved him and was honoured to be at his deathbed but boy, he was tricky. Thank you for sharing.
